Most people think a ceramic coating is a weekend. Wash, decontaminate, polish, wipe down, then sweat through the application with a headlamp on, checking for high spots every ten minutes. That is how UNO, DOS, and TRÉ go on, and for a full correction job it is the right way to do it.
STAK is the other way. It is a true ceramic coating in a spray bottle, built so you can put real protection on most cars in ten to fifteen minutes. It goes over bare paint. It goes over the coating you already have. It goes over trim, glass, and PPF. Spray it, wipe it in, let it flash, wipe it off. Done.

What STAK Rapid Ceramic Coating is
STAK is a ceramic coating designed for professional detailers and enthusiasts who want the protection without the all day install. The base is what we call Flexible Bonding Technology. It lets STAK adhere to any paint surface and to PPF, and it lets it integrate with a ceramic coating that is already on the car instead of sitting on top of it like a wax would. That is the whole point of the name. You stack it.
Because it is a real ceramic, it behaves like one. It brings gloss, it brings the tight beading and sheeting you expect from a coating, and it hardens as it cures. That last part matters in a way you will read about below, because it also hardens inside your sprayer if you let it.

Why rapid does not mean spray wax
There are a lot of products in a spray bottle that call themselves ceramic. Most of them are sealants with some SiO2 in the mix. They are good products, and we make one. Spray Coat is a ceramic spray sealant, and it earns its spot on the shelf as a fast topper between washes.
STAK is a different category. It is a coating that happens to be applied from a sprayer. The application steps look like a sealant, but the chemistry crosslinks and cures into a hard layer the way a bottle coating does. If you have ever had a spray sealant go on easy and be gone in six weeks, that is the difference you are paying for here.

How we apply STAK in the bay
The directions are short because the product is built that way. Here is how they go in practice.
Start with a clean, dry, cool panel. Wash with Cleanse so there is no old wax or sealant in the way. If the car is getting STAK as a standalone coating over bare paint, hit every panel with Wipe afterward to strip polishing oils so the coating bonds. If you are stacking it on an existing coating, a proper wash and dry is enough.
Spray STAK onto the applicator or straight onto the surface. Either works. We use a ceramic coating applicator on paint and spray direct on trim and glass. Work one section at a time, about half a hood.
Wipe it into the working area and let it flash. This is the step people rush. Give it a moment and you will see sweat beads form on the surface. That is the coating flashing off and it tells you it is ready to level.
Wipe where the beading shows with a VersaTowel. Then flip the towel over and give the area a final wipe with the clean side. Check it from an angle. There should be no residue at all before you move to the next section. If you see a streak, wipe it again while it is still workable.
Rinse out your sprayer after every use. This is the one we put in bold. STAK is a true ceramic coating, so it hardens in the sprayer if you leave it in there, and a hardened sprayer is a broken sprayer. Rinse it with water when you are done. That is why two sprayers come with every bottle.
STAK over UNO, DOS, and TRÉ
If you coated your car with UNO, DOS, or TRÉ, STAK is the maintenance move. A bottle coating does not fail all at once. It wears at the edges, on the hood and roof that take the sun, on the lower doors that take the road. Stacking STAK over it every few months puts fresh ceramic where it wore thin and brings the whole car back to the same gloss and the same beading, without the correction and prep a fresh bottle coating needs.
For a car that has never been coated, STAK is a legitimate first coating on its own. It is the fastest way to find out what a coated car feels like to wash.
Keeping STAK working
Coated cars want a coating safe wash. Ceramic Snow is the SiO2 shampoo we use on anything wearing hyperCLEAN ceramic, and SLIQ is the silica spray for drying and topping. Between those two and a STAK refresh a few times a year, the car stays slick.

Is STAK a real ceramic coating or a spray sealant?
A real ceramic coating. It is applied from a sprayer, but it hardens and cures like a coating, which is also why it will harden inside a sprayer that is not rinsed.
Can I put STAK over my existing ceramic coating?
Yes. That is what it was designed for. Its Flexible Bonding Technology integrates with a previously applied coating, so it reinforces what is there.
Does STAK work on PPF and trim?
Yes. STAK adheres to paint, PPF, trim, and glass. Coat the film and the paint around it in the same pass.
How long does it take to coat a car with STAK?
Most cars take ten to fifteen minutes once the car is washed and dry. Prep is the longer part of the job, not the coating.
What happens if I do not rinse the sprayer?
The coating hardens in it and the sprayer breaks. Rinse it with water after every use. Two sprayers ship with each bottle so you have a spare.
Do I need to polish before STAK?
Only if you want to lock in corrected paint. Any coating seals in what is under it. For a maintenance layer over an existing coating, a wash and dry is enough.
